Paula has worked in the Small Business team for 5 years, bringing with her a broad career spanning banking, business ownership, training and local government. Beginning as a financial service representative with Westpac before moving into retail and business management as an owner-operator, she understands firsthand what it takes to run and sustain a small enterprise. Across each stage of her career, Paula has built strong foundations in financial management, customer service and stakeholder engagement, skills she now draws on to support rural and regional businesses across South Australia.
Having lived and worked in regional communities, including time on a rural property, Paula has a genuine appreciation for the pressures that come with seasonal cycles, fluctuating markets and the constant juggle of cash flow and workforce demands. With qualifications in Business Management, Financial Counselling, and Training and Assessment, she works alongside clients to unpack their financial position, assess risk and develop practical, achievable plans. Her approach is both empathetic and strategic, helping clients feel informed, steady and confident as they navigate uncertainty.
Paula believes strongly in the connection between financial wellbeing and mental health, recognising that business challenges rarely stay at the farm gate or shop door. Through RBS’s free and confidential services, she supports clients to explore their options, plan for change and strengthen long-term sustainability, always with respect and understanding.
Outside of work, Paula enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking the dog and cooking. She has also volunteered with local sporting clubs and community groups, serving on committees and boards, reflecting her ongoing commitment to the communities she calls home.
