Laura Cook

Laura joined RBS in May 2024. With a Bachelor of Business (Management), she has worked as a Human Resources advisor across industries including NDIS, construction, franchises and hospitality. In her role at RBS, Laura provides a calm, supportive point of contact for clients who may be feeling overwhelmed, helping them with the small tasks and first steps that can make a difficult situation feel more manageable. She brings strong attention to detail and a genuine appreciation for the human element behind every business.

Growing up as the fifth generation on her family’s mixed-farming property in the South East, Laura has deep ties to rural South Australia. Her family continues to farm the land, with a focus on mixed cropping, livestock and Angora goats, keeping her closely connected to the realities of agricultural life. This lived experience shapes her understanding of the unique challenges regional communities face, from succession and cashflow difficulties through to added financial pressures and the distances required to travel to access essential services.

Now based in the Adelaide Hills, Laura enjoys spending time outdoors with her border collies, cats, horses and chooks. She also loves exploring the many wine regions across South Australia. Laura is motivated by the belief that everyone deserves a safe place to have a chat and be heard, and she is proud to support RBS’s purpose of genuinely caring for rural people and businesses. She understands that without healthy, driven people at the core, a business cannot thrive.
