Emily joined Rural Business Support (RBS) in 2025, bringing a valuable mix of on-farm insight, agribusiness banking expertise and financial literacy to her role as a Rural Financial Counsellor based in the South East. Her career began in the wool industry with Elders, working in both Victoria and at Head Office in Adelaide, before she transitioned to agribusiness banking with NAB, managing a diverse portfolio of primary producers across the region.
Emily’s perspective is grounded in both her professional and personal life. She and her husband run a mixed farming business near Beachport, producing lamb and beef. Raised on a merino sheep and cropping property near Naracoorte, Emily understands the day-to-day demands of farming and the pressures faced by rural families, particularly in times of financial stress. She enjoys the business side of agriculture and uses her experience to help clients make informed decisions with confidence.
Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Business (Agricultural Economics) from the University of Sydney, a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Markets), and a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping. With this solid foundation, Emily supports RBS clients to interpret financial information, navigate complex decisions, and develop practical strategies to move forward.
