David joined the team in 2020, bringing a lifetime of connection to agriculture and rural South Australia. A fifth-generation broadacre farmer, he grew up on the same property he continues to farm today. His background in rural banking, including his time as a Rural Bank Manager, saw him work closely with farming clients through the ups and downs of seasonal conditions, finance and business decision-making. His career has been shaped by a consistent focus on agriculture, rural communities, and supporting farming families to build steady, sustainable futures.
With experience across both farming and rural banking, David understands the pressures primary producers carry, from seasonal variability and commodity prices through to succession, credit and long-term planning. Since joining RBS, he has completed a Diploma of Financial Counselling, strengthening the practical support he provides to clients.
Outside of work, David has volunteered with the CFS for more than 20 years, and alongside his family is actively involved in the agricultural and Royal Show circuit with their show and dressage horses.
David is passionate about progressive, profitable farming and supporting younger farmers to adopt sustainable, adaptable practices. He takes pride in contributing to strong, resilient rural communities and seeing others find their way forward.
