Chris Clark

Chris joined the team in 2020, following over 38-years in banking and finance. His banking & finance career spanned Agribusiness Manager, Area Manager and Regional Manager roles, where he worked closely with primary producers and regional businesses across South Australia. That depth of experience in rural banking gives Chris a strong commercial foundation and a clear understanding of the financial pressures that can build during drought, industry downturns and tightening lending conditions.

Having lived in South Australia all his life, aside from four years in Melbourne, Chris brings a genuine connection to regional communities. He understands the weight of responsibility carried by farming families and the importance of steady, practical guidance. Holding a Diploma of Financial Counselling, Tier 2 Accreditation and Mental Health First Aid certification, Chris combines financial expertise with empathy and careful listening. He is organised, outcome-focused and committed to empowering clients to make informed decisions, while also advocating for positive change where it’s needed.

Chris sees his role as both client-facing and strategic, supporting counsellors, strengthening partnerships and ensuring RBS continues to deliver meaningful support to primary producers doing it tough. His approach is simple: treat others how you would like to be treated, with support and understanding.

Outside of work, Chris is deeply involved in his local community. A Life Member of the Strathalbyn & Districts Basketball Association, he has played, coached and served on the committee for many years. He and his wife have three children, enjoy travelling and classic cars, and at home are kept busy by two miniature goats and a much-loved Ragdoll cat.
