Vanessa joined RBS in 2026 as an Accountant, bringing a strong grounding in audit, assurance and financial reporting. She began her career working three years as an Audit and Assurance Associate working across a diverse portfolio including not-for-profits, agriculture and junior explorers. That experience gave her a solid technical foundation, along with well-developed analytical skills and the ability to work closely with a wide range of stakeholders.
In her role at RBS, Vanessa has moved from external audit into a more hands-on accounting position, reflecting her interest in contributing directly to the sustainability and success of community-focused organisations and primary producers. She supports the organisation through accurate financial reporting, sound record-keeping and a strong focus on compliance with accounting standards and regulatory obligations. Her work helps strengthen governance within RBS and contributes to the broader goal of building financial resilience across rural South Australia.
Vanessa completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting at the University of Adelaide and is currently working towards her Chartered Accountant qualification. She brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to her work and values the role good financial management plays in supporting organisations that make a real difference in regional communities.
Outside work, Vanessa enjoys art and illustration and spends much of her free time reading and learning more about creative practice. She has also contributed to community causes through volunteering, including the Gold Ribbon Gala for the Childhood Cancer Association in South Australia and a house-painting project with Habitat for Humanity in Indonesia.
