What we do >> Rural Financial Counselling Service
Rural Business Support’s Financial Cousellors are available to help eligible farmers and small business owners to develop and implement plans to recover from the devastating bushfires of summer 2019-20. We have Financial Counsellors who live and work on Kangaroo Island and in the Adelaide Hills, so they understand firsthand how difficult this time is for all who have been impacted.

Once the initial shock turns to thoughts of recovery and rebuilding, our free, independent and confidential service can assist you to make informed decisions about your way forward. We have Financial Counsellors who live and work on Kangaroo Island and in the Adelaide Hills, so they understand firsthand how difficult this time is for all who have been impacted.
There are avenues to help you and your family. While all businesses in the bushfire zones share common concerns, how you choose to respond will depend on your unique circumstances.
We can help you to:
-
- Prepare for talks with insurance companies, banks and lenders
- Access other professional services
- Prepare cash flow forecasts to meet financial obligations
- Develop and implement plans to return to ‘normal’ operations
Our Rural Financial Counselling Service (RFCS) supported farmers, growers and small ag-related businesses after the Sampson Flat and Pinery bushfires. Our professional and empathic staff can now help you and your family plan a proactive response to this traumatic event.
