What we do >> Rural Financial Counselling Service
Rural Business Support’s Rural Financial Counselling Service (RFCS) is available to help fishers who are concerned about how the snapper management measures introduced for three years from November 1 2019 will affect their businesses.
RBS is working closely with Wildcatch Fisheries SA to coordinate this support. Our RFCS is a free, independent and confidential service for owners and operators of eligible primary production businesses, including fishers.
We encourage concerned fishers to call us to find out about help they may be eligible for.
Our Rural Financial Counsellors can help fishers to understand how these measures might impact their financial position and we can support them to prepare plans to manage any business disruption. Support is available for up to three years and we can also refer people to wellbeing support and other professional services as needed.
To make a time to talk with a Rural Financial Counsellor please call 1800 836 211.
Other information relating to the snapper management measures can be found at the Primary Industries and Region SA (PIRSA) website.
