Deb Schwartz

Deb joined Rural Business Support in 2021 and has more than 30 years of experience in graphic design, print, advertising and communications across South Australia and abroad. Her career has taken her from design studios and advertising agencies to publishing houses and her own freelance business. She has worked in a London design agency, contributed to regional tourism guides for the SA Tourism Commission, and supported communications for a leading Adelaide real estate agency, experience that has shaped her practical, people-focused approach to storytelling.

Raised in the Mid North, Deb has family connections to pastoral stations in the far northeast and to wine production in the Barossa. She also spent four years in Clare working for the local newspaper, giving her a grounded understanding of the communities RBS serves. With formal training through a Certificate IV in Print Communications, she brings a refined skill set in clear messaging, design and content delivery, ensuring clients, stakeholders and community members can easily access the information they need.

Deb remains closely connected to regional media, serving as a photography judge for the Rural Media & Communicators SA/NT Rural Media Awards. Outside of work, she enjoys creative pursuits and time with friends. “Working at RBS has ignited a passion for purposeful communication. I am driven by the opportunity to reach people who need support and to encourage them to take meaningful steps toward improving their circumstances.”
