Tim joined the Rural Business Support team in March 2020 as a Rural Financial Counsellor, based out of our office in Murray Bridge.

Farming is in Tim’s blood – he grew up on the family farm at Western Flat near Bordertown in the state’s South East. He later spent 12 years in the Australian Defence Force (ADF) as a Captain in the Army, which included postings to Canberra, Darwin and Woodside as well as a deployment to Afghanistan. After finishing with the ADF and completing his Masters in Agribusiness Management, Tim moved to a role with Rabobank based out of Adelaide for two years.

He continues to seek out new opportunities to help clients understand their financial situation through the development of training resources and templates which help simplify the complex.

Around his counselling work Tim enjoys heading to his farm at Mount Barker Springs where he is adapting a regenerative approach to his prime lamb and beef enterprise mix.

Tim lives at Nairne in the Adelaide Hills with his wife Emma and son Mack.
