Shaun was welcomed to the RBS team in 2022 as a Small Business Financial Counsellor servicing the Mid North region. He has successfully owned and operated small businesses including hotels and newsagencies in Port Pirie and the Yorke Peninsula. He is a country boy through and through having been educated in Port Pirie before starting his own small business when he was in his early 20s.
Shaun’s family have always been in independent small businesses, which has influenced his passion for country businesses.
Professionally, Shaun has lectured at TAFE SA in retail (Port Pirie and Kadina) and delivered their traineeship program throughout the Yorke Peninsula and the Mid North. He is an active member in his community and served on the committee of the Port Pirie Ellen Centre traders progress committee for 12 years.
Coming from a family business background makes Shaun uniquely qualified to understand the trials, tribulations, wins and losses that small businesses experience over time.
Shaun approaches financial counselling from a unique mix of retail positioning, human resources, budget management and realistic planning in an ever-changing environment.
