Nick is a successful businessman, having spent 18 years running his own businesses in the eastern states, including a domestic and commercial fencing business and a regionally based wholesale nursery.
The opportunity to give back to the community saw Nick living and working in remote Aboriginal communities in WA and the NT, where he oversaw the community development program for more than five years.
Nick noticed that many individuals he worked with didn’t understand how to manage their finances, which led to his qualification in Financial Counselling, providing a practical way of helping people.
As a former small business owner and a small business financial counsellor, Nick is uniquely able to understand the impact financial distress has on wellbeing and, subsequently, business success.
Nick looks forward to supporting small business owners in the NT to understand their financial position and business risks, including cash flow, overdrafts, stock lead times, staffing and security issues.
