Landowner Information Service Officer
M: 1800 836 211
Brett joined Rural Business Support in June 2020 as our first Landowner Information Service Officer.
He has lived and breathed all parts of rural South Australia for much of his life having grown up on a farm in the Mid North. In the noughties he shifted with his young family to Loxton, then became a coastal dweller at Port Lincoln.
Earlier on, he lived in both Adelaide and Melbourne for uni and the first part of his working career.
Being his wife’s home patch surrounded by family and friends, along with the kids now being aged 16 and 21, Brett remains based in Port Lincoln. He has spent the past 10 years there working with farmers across the Eyre Peninsula in grain marketing, fertiliser sales and farm insurance.
As our LISO, Brett’s engineering background and qualifications, coupled with field-based roles servicing SA’s agricultural regions since the early 90s, enables him to support both farmers and mineral explorers to understand and negotiate each other’s needs in a balanced manner.
Brett enjoys water sports and taking full advantage of the pristine EP coastline. In recent times, he took up playing competitive volleyball again after a 25-year hiatus to focus on footy, tennis and his kids’ sporting pursuits.
