Austin has been working as a Business Financial Counsellor for Rural Business Support (RBS) since June 2020.

He has a broad knowledge of South Australia’s agricultural regions – having previously worked in the South East, Murray Mallee, Mid North, Riverland, Fleurieu, Kangaroo Island and West Coast.

Austin has worked for over 16 years as a Rural Financial Counsellor, before expanding into banking and farm management. He spent 35 years in the banking and finance sector, specialising in agribusiness and has extensive studies in accounting. Austin has spent the last several years running his own consultancy business.

More recently in his role with RBS, Austin has been providing support in our partnership programs with AUSVEG SA. He works closely with and is well respected by the many nationalities involved in market gardens of the Northern Adelaide Plains. This experience has not only expanded Austin’s knowledge in the horticulture business, but his awareness of cultural diversity and inclusion.
