Aimed at farmer groups and families across South Australia and the Northern Territory, funding for the programme can be through federal and state government grants, other agencies, not-for-profit organisations and groups and/or individuals.
Rural Business Support is able to deliver entire programmes, individual modules or develop tailored programmes to suit the needs of its clients.
Programmes and/or modules are delivered by RBS Farm Business Advisor, John Christensen, who is a Chartered Accountant, a skilled facilitator and has postgraduate qualifications in Agricultural Consulting.

Farm Business Basics
Each workshop consists of a number of modules starting with entry level fundamentals then progressing to higher levels with more complexity. Each module is tailored basic learning using simplified tools and processes as well as being very practical.

Aimed at family farming businesses to adopt the use of Farm Boards in their business to improve profitability and sustainability. A series of hands on workshops with participants learning about the roles, responsibilities and functions necessary to set up their own Farm Board. It’s about changing the way farming families think about their businesses and building on their strengths. It’s a simple, powerful, low cost change that has a great impact and adds value.
Managing Your Farm Business
A programme that consists of a series of workshops to develop short, medium and long term plans to achieve the family, financial, production and sustainable land management objectives for the farm as well as the setting performance indications to measure if the plans are successful. The workshops are complimented by an on-farm session to assist participants to overcome adoption barriers.
