Free business skills workshops for Northern Adelaide market gardeners

Rural Business Support will host a series of workshops at Virginia in November to help local market gardeners develop skills to build the resilience of their business.

We have 24 places available for our ‘Business Skills for Market Gardeners’ workshops at the Virginia Horticultural Centre from November 15. And the good news is there’s no cost to you to sign up.

Made possible thanks to a grant from the Department for Industry and Skills’ Excellence in Business Fund, the workshops have been especially developed for market gardeners from limited/non-English speaking backgrounds. The two sessions will be translated into Vietnamese and Khmer:

‘Managing your cash flow’
Thursday November 15th (Vietnamese)
Friday November 16th (Khmer)
11am to 3pm both days (light lunch provided)

‘Business planning’
Thursday November 22nd (Vietnamese)
Friday November 23rd (Khmer)
11am to 3pm both days (light lunch provided)

The engaging workshops will use a combination of adult learning techniques and practical tools to help you develop cashflow budgets, look at the viability of your operations, plan for the future and ultimately be better prepared to withstand future extreme weather events.
